The Orc and goblin army is a powerful force to be reckoned with if used correctly. On this page it shall be described how to use the masses to your advantage and how to revenge other armys. The key to winning with orcs and goblins is masses! Any sane person knows that, right the skill is being able to use the masses correctly. Orcs and goblins can get powerful units for cheap points or cannon fodder for even cheaper costs. So you got the masses now this is the tricky part HOW DO YOU USE THEM? There are three main tactics used.

The first is to go for the full on assault get the best orcs and in front of them large goblin unit as cheap as possible. People I know like to use night gobbos just to scare the enemy with fanatics which they quite often do have. The main idea of this is to either make the front enemy forces flee causing a wide spread panic test throughout the entire army( don't use with Chaos, both races of dwarfs or Undead because of their high leadership or immune to psychology ). Important to remember is that being immune to psychology does not mean they cannot be broken in hand to hand combat, I once saw Nagash broken and run down by a group of 20 goblins with a combat banner. The other idea a little more tricky but a lot more effective is to choose the opponents biggest or best unit or both you know that chaos knight unit 10 knights strong worth 1000 points and charge them with all those goblins you can. This will create a trap in which you tempt the opponent to charge your goblins to try to save that valuable unit. If they do then you have the advantage because now you have your more powerful units to charge the others however you want. As I said before this is a difficult manoeuvre to execute so don't be to distressed if it doesn't work the first few times -it takes practice.
The
second method used is to be defensive all that you can. what I mean by this is to by all the war machines you can. Doom divers, rock lobboers are good against crowded armys like lizardmen or skaven, while against armys with good saves bolt throwers and anything else which allowes no saves are very useful. Magic which creates range attack is also a good thing to have, the gaze of gork is a good example of a magic attack to be used. Orc archers are good points spent, but I don't recommends many of goblin archers because they are not good archers and you have to put so many in the rear that t
